CONSERVATION

When WaterMart irrigation systems are designed they usually feature a number of water conserving products, in many cases qualifying the system under ‘Smart WaterMark Approved’ accreditation, providing clients with a system that irrigates their

lawns and gardens whilst using water responsibly.

Soil Moisture Sensor

The Soil Moisture Sensor determines the soil moisture
content by measuring at regular intervals. The sensor uses a pre-set moisture level and prevents the watering system from operating until the soil has become drier than the pre-set dry moisture level.
In effect the 101SMS shuts down the watering system until the soil moisture goes below the ideal level. Irrigation will only be permitted again if the soil is dry enough. If required the user can override the sensor cut off.

MP Rotator Sprinklers

In addition to being installed in brand new systems, with so many models to choose from, the MP Rotator has the perfect solution for rejuvenating an older spray system without requiring a new point of connection, new lateral lines, or new valves.   Some models even make it possible to eliminate existing sprinklers, saving additional labor and material costs.   Since water audits have shown potential water savings of up to 30% when systems are fitted with MP Rotators, they carry ‘Smart WaterMark Approved’ accreditation.

Rain Sensor

Most rain-sensing devices must first accumulate a set amount of rainfall before being activated and shutting off the system.  In that “accumulation time,” the system will continue to water, giving the appearance a precious resource is being wasted…exactly the opposite impression a municipality, a business, or an upstanding citizen would like to convey.

Only the Hunter Rain-Clik™, with its unique Quick Response feature, can command a controller to shut off immediately - not after a quarter - or a half-inch, but right when it starts to rain.

Pressure Regulated Dripper Tube

To irrigate gardens, dripper tube is installed on top of the soil and under the mulch, kept in place with a number of metal stakes.
Like all the other irrigation system components on this page the dripper tube also has an accreditation as water saving technology.
